Apprentices start at BOCK in 2023
Once again, the market leader in the office furniture industry can look forward to motivated junior staff. Traditionally, BOCK focuses on training the skilled workers of tomorrow. A total of 16 trainees, including four dual students, were warmly welcomed by the entire company and, of course, the management on 01 September 2023. It was the starting signal for a new phase of life, which the young adults are embarking on with immediate effect. The company, which is based in Postbauer-Heng, wants to provide the best possible support on this path and lay the foundation for a successful future in the traditional way.
In the following 3 to 3.5 years, the new employees will gain versatile insights into the most diverse departments of the industrial company. The manufacturer of components for office chairs, the automotive industry and lounge furniture provides training in both industrial and commercial professions. This year, this includes the nine apprenticeships (m/f/d) industrial clerk, industrial mechanic, technical product designer, toolmaker, warehouse logistics specialist, IT specialist for system integration, technical model maker, process mechanic and electronics technician for operating technology.
The introductory program, which lasts several days, includes not only the legal requirements in the form of safety briefings and information on IT security, but also the most important personal contacts in the HR department, the works council, the trainee representation and the management. The first days are rounded off with a tour of the approx. 124,000 m² company premises, followed by a workshop presentation of the diverse BOCK product portfolio and range of services.
Locally rooted and globally active – despite an international strategy, classic training still enjoys the highest priority at BOCK, which is reflected not least in the high takeover rate and the above-average performance in the final examinations.
