Rejuvenation of the management

The third generation takes over responsibility at BOCK. New management is formed as a further step in BOCK's future strategy. Commercial Managing Director Jürgen Cappell hands over the baton to internal successors on 30.10.2020.

Postbauer-Heng/Germany, October 07, 2020 - In the already ongoing generational transition, the medium-sized family-owned company BOCK is now taking the next planned step and consistently rejuvenating its management team with effect from October 30, 2020. Christian Bock, son of the managing partner Hermann Bock and co-partner, will strengthen the management of Bock 1 GmbH & Co. KG as technical managing director for the Engineering / Processes division. He will be followed in the commercial management of the company by Sandra Fritsch (Business Services), Wolfgang Lechner (Sales / Marketing) and Wolfgang Pöhlmann (Controlling / Supply Chain Management).
Thomas Landgraf (Industry / Technology), who will take over the role of management spokesman, Harald Meyer (Production) and company owner Hermann Bock will continue to be part of the management team: "We want to ensure a smooth transition from one generation to the next and are therefore broadening our management team. This reinforcement will give us fresh accents for our future and, thanks to Jürgen Cappell, we are building on a solid foundation. We thank him for his extraordinary commitment to our company and the family. We wish him all the best and continued success in his new position outside of BOCK".

Jürgen Cappell has been the commercial director of the company since July 2014. During his time, the BOCK Group was successfully realigned in terms of strategy, structure, finance and sales, and the positive development in North America was given special emphasis. "We have now achieved our 2014 joint goal of further developing BOCK and introducing the next generation to the company management. I am very pleased about this and I would like to thank the Bock family and all colleagues for the time we have spent together," said Jürgen Cappell.

Even after a one-month handover period in October, Jürgen Cappell will continue to advise the company and its successors, all four of whom have been part of the management since 2017, until the end of January. This will ensure that the new managing directors receive the best possible training.

"We are all very proud of what we have achieved so far and we will remain friends with Jürgen Cappell. With the further innovations already planned in the Office area, the further expansion of the Industry and Lounge areas and the internal networking via a common ERP system, BOCK is very well positioned," Christian Bock appreciates Jürgen Cappell's commitment and adds: "We have also set ourselves a number of goals for the future and want to set clear accents with our new team in order to continue to develop BOCK successfully now and also after the Corona crisis.

For BOCK, the now implemented organizational development also forms the basis for current and future strategy projects in the international group of companies. In addition to the organizational strengthening through specialist and process-related units, the expansion of value orientation and the growth of the Industry and Lounge business areas, the company is also focusing on systematic further development in the key areas of digitization and lean management.
